"Busy Days Call for Bacon" (and Bar Exam Boosts!)

Starbucks might just have it right with “Busy days call for bacon. Tasty choices when you need them most.”

When you’re deep into bar prep or in the middle of a long day of classes, it’s easy to push through without taking a break, thinking, I’ll just keep going. But just like a hearty breakfast can kickstart your day, taking purposeful breaks and refueling with the right study snacks can give you that extra push when the going gets tough.

Think of it like this:

🥓 Start with Substance

Just as bacon (or your favorite breakfast) gives you fuel, think of every study session as something that needs a solid foundation. Grab those outlines, flashcards, or mind maps, and start each session with purpose and a clear goal.

☕️ Take Time for a Break

Imagine treating yourself to a break as satisfying as that crispy bacon or that delicious latte(my personal go-to is a grande nonfat three Splenda latte.). Your brain needs moments to recharge. Set short breaks, get up, stretch, and let the information sink in. Just as you wouldn’t skip breakfast, don’t skip these breaks!

🥚 Layer on the Extras

Like adding an egg to your breakfast sandwich, add a practice question to your study sessions. Just as bacon is to busy days, practice questions are to bar prep—the more you do, the better you’re fueled for success on test day.

So, on those busy days, remember: It’s not just about cramming all day. Refuel, recharge, and remember that every break, snack, and practice session gets you closer to your goal.

And remember this, too: Everything is better with bacon.
